AIS© Training
SimQuest provides training in Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS)© coding of combat injuries using AIS 2005 Update 2008 Military, medical record review, and detailed injury abstraction. This training enables the data to be used in quality assurance, outcome evaluation, research, and training.
Proven results include improved accuracy of combat injury data entry; facilitation of use of the data for evaluation of care, treatment, and outcomes; and maintenance of the integrity of military injury databases by ensuring that patient data are accurately and comprehensively coded.
Accurate AIS coding improves the integrity of combat trauma databases, resulting in a robust substrate for research, quality assurance, and initiatives to minimize injuries and deaths.
